Chennai, 6th June 2026 - Auroville international community with whom we have had a longstanding relationship has been under severe stress due to the ambitious ventures of mediocre bureaucratic changes in recent years. It has resulted in several friends losing their visa and having to go back to countries and societies they had walked away from decades ago, shady land deals, forests being destroyed, several trees being sawed despite alternatives available, and peace in the community shattered. In this context, some of the courageous Aurovillians had organized a photo exhibition at Chennai to draw attention to the atrocities going on there and to create solidarity.
